You love each other. And the communication sucks, the same fights keep happening, or trust feels shaky. Whether you’re navigating conflict, disconnection, infidelity, or big life shifts, couples therapy can help you reconnect and actually move forward.

I offer online couples counseling across Hawai‘i from my base in Kailua-Kona, holding safe, judgment-free space for all relationships—including LGBTQIA+, poly, and non-traditional partnerships.

Together, we’ll work to break old patterns, rebuild trust, and create a relationship that feels honest, secure, and connected—for real this time.

When Talking Just Turns Into Another Argument

You try to talk about what’s bothering you… but it turns into a fight, gets brushed off, or one of you shuts down.
It’s not that you don’t care, you do. You just keep missing each other.

The truth? Most of us were never taught how to communicate—especially when emotions are high or old wounds get triggered. It’s frustrating. It’s painful. And it’s exhausting to keep trying and still feel so disconnected.

Maybe it looks like:

  • Feeling like you’re talking in circles and never getting anywhere

  • One person explodes, the other shuts down

  • Misunderstandings that spiral into full-blown arguments

  • Avoiding hard conversations altogether because “what’s the point?”

  • Feeling unheard, dismissed, or like you're speaking different languages

It doesn’t have to stay this way.
With the right support, communication gets clearer. Conflict becomes less about winning and more about understanding.
You stop walking on eggshells and start feeling like teammates again—on the same side, even when things are hard.

There is no script for rebuilding trust. Let's figure it out together.

Infidelity and Broken Trust — “Can We Even Come Back From This?”

When trust is broken—through infidelity, secrecy, or betrayal—everything shifts.
The ground beneath your relationship starts to crack, and even simple conversations feel loaded with tension, fear, or resentment.

You probably still love each other. You might want to stay. But rebuilding trust after deep hurt? That takes real effort—and real accountability from both partners.

You might be feeling:

  • Crushed by guilt or shame for what happened

  • Constantly on edge, waiting for the next betrayal

  • Like you're stuck in a loop of blame, anger, and hurt

  • Torn between wanting to stay and wondering if you should leave

  • Emotionally disconnected, even when physically together

In therapy, we create a space where both of you can be honest, heard, and supported.

It’s not easy. But it is possible.
With the right support, you can start untangling the pain, rebuilding emotional safety, and creating a new foundation—one that’s stronger, clearer, and rooted in honesty, not fear.

It's never too late to feel close and connected again.

When You Feel More Like Roommates than Partners

Maybe the love is still there—but the spark? The intimacy? The closeness?
Feels like it’s been buried under dishes, deadlines, parenting, and unspoken resentment.

You’re doing life side by side, but the connection feels like it’s gone missing.
You’ve tried to “get back to how it was,” but something still feels off. You miss laughing. You miss feeling wanted—not just needed.
You miss being touched without it feeling like one more chore.

You might notice:

  • Conversations feel surface-level or strictly logistical

  • There’s little to no physical affection or intimacy

  • You feel lonely, even when you’re in the same room

  • You miss how things used to feel — but don’t know how to get back there

  • You’ve stopped trying to fix it, because nothing seems to change

We will create space to slow down, reflect, and rebuild. You’ll learn how to re-engage emotionally and physically, express what you actually need, and reconnect in ways that feel real — not forced.

Disconnection doesn’t mean it’s over.
It means something’s missing—and you both deserve the chance to find it again. Together, we’ll work to bring back the safety, the playfulness, and the intimacy you’ve been craving.

What to Expect: Rates, Insurance and Payment Info
To give each couple the depth of care they deserve, I keep my caseload intentionally small.
This allows me to show up fully present and go deep — not just surface-level skills or band-aid solutions.

You have two options for paying for therapy:

Private Pay Therapy Session Rates
Couples Therapy (Telehealth, Hawaii residents only)
$175 per 60 minute session
I accept the following insurance plans:
Kaiser Permanente of Hawaii, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Hawaii (HMSA), Carelon Behavioral Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Quest Behavioral Health, Cigna, Atena, Optum

It’s okay if investing in your relationship feels big — because it is.
But the changes you’ll create won’t just last a session. They’ll last a lifetime. And you are both so worth that.

Private Pay

Private pay or out-of-pocket pay clients receive the most flexibility and personalized care.

Choosing private pay means:

  • No diagnosis required for either partner

  • No session limits or insurance restrictions

  • Freedom to focus on your relationship’s unique dynamics — your pace, your goals

  • A confidential space without third-party involvement

This is ideal for couples who are ready to do the deeper work of reconnection, repair, and rebuilding trust — without limitations.

Insurance
I also accept some insurance plans through trusted platforms.
Using insurance may mean:
  • Lower out-of-pocket costs depending on your coverage

  • A diagnosis is required, and some plans do not cover couples therapy

  • Potential limits on session length, frequency, or number

  • Less flexibility in how we structure the work

It's important to note, not all insurance plans cover couples therapy. I’ll let you know what’s possible once we take a look together.

Insurance Therapy Session Rates
Your copay is determined by your insurance plan and can't be confirmed until your benefits have been verified.
Want to use out-of-network benefits?
No problem! I partner with Thrizer to make using your out-of-network (OON) benefits simple and easy. Thrizer handles the billing directly with your insurance while I’m still paid my full private practice rate ($175/session). Often, your cost ends up being similar to an in-network copay.
